ANITA SAVAGE

Anita Savage's Portrait

“The end of a marriage is incredibly difficult. It is a journey of anger and grief but also of hope and transition. My job is to help clients make the best decisions they can during the hardest time of their life.” — Anita C. Savage

Anita is passionate about helping parents stay focused on what matters most—their children—while protecting their financial well-being from the emotional and financial toll of prolonged, contested litigation.

Alongside her work representing parents, Anita brings her calm, steady presence to also support families and fellow attorneys as an amicus attorney, mediator, parenting facilitator, and litigation consultant. She is licensed to practice law in Texas, Colorado, and Georgia.

With over 20 years of litigation experience, Anita now dedicates her practice to Collaborative Law and other peaceful dispute resolution methods. She believes these thoughtful, family-centered approaches offer the most constructive and compassionate way forward for families in transition.

Anita’s commitment to her clients is personal and her work is deeply informed by her own life experiences—including divorce, co-parenting, and raising stepchildren. She understands personally the emotional complexity that blended families face. As someone of mixed ethnicity, she is aware of how important it is to honor family traditions, customs, and faiths, and how cultural perspectives can shape values, communication, and decision-making.

She currently serves as Chair of both the State Bar of Texas Collaborative Law Section and the Dallas Bar Association’s Collaborative Law Section. Anita is also a certified TBRI Practitioner, using trauma-informed strategies to support the unique needs of children and families.

Anita is Board Certified in Family Law and has been named a Texas Super Lawyer every year since 2015. She has also been recognized in Best Lawyers in America for Family Law and Collaborative Law since 2018, and for Mediation since 2024. She is a proud member of The College of the State Bar of Texas, and a Fellow of both the Texas and Colorado Bar Foundations—honors reserved for attorneys who demonstrate exceptional service and dedication to the legal profession.

Anita welcomes the opportunity to connect and can be reached directly at 214-707-0660.
